THE GAME OF GOD

Terms of Service

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms are written in Korean, and the Korean text governs. The English text below is a reference translation.

Article 1 (Purpose)

  1. These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using THE GAME OF GOD (the "Service") provided by Leverage (the "Operator"), the purchase, withdrawal and refund of subscriptions and rank day passes, and the rights and obligations of the Operator and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. A "user" is anyone who uses the Service under these terms, including guests and members. A "guest" is a user who entered with only a nickname, and a guest's access exists only in the user's browser (or the app's storage). A "member" is a user signed in with a CP account or an Apple account.
  2. "Ranked" is a competitive match the Service opens by gathering users at random, and "rank points" are the points that rise and fall with ranked results; the season tier is decided by them. "Committed points" are the rank points set aside when a ranked match starts, at the level the user chose (Standard, Double or Triple), and returned in whole or in part when the match ends according to the result.
  3. A "rank ticket" is a pass used for one ranked match; it is earned only by daily check-in.
  4. A "subscription" is the right to use the Service at the Plus, Pro or Max tier, and a "term pass" is a subscription bought on the web for a fixed term (30 or 365 days).
  5. "Chips" are points used only inside a match. They cannot be bought, stored or moved, and they disappear when the match ends.

Article 3 (Effect and Changes)

  1. These terms take effect when posted in the Service.
  2. The Operator may change these terms within the limits of the law. It announces the effective date and the changes in the Service 7 days in advance (30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to users or material changes to paid services).
  3. A user who does not agree to changed terms may stop using the Service and sign out.

Article 4 (Accounts)

  1. Only people aged 14 or older may sign up as a member, and age is confirmed at sign-up.
  2. If a guest's storage is cleared or the guest signs out, the guest's record can no longer be reached, and the Operator has no duty to restore it. Guests cannot use ranked, rooms made with friends, or subscription and rank day pass payments.
  3. When a guest signs in as a member, the guest's record carries over to the member account. If the guest switches to a sign-in already linked to another account, the guest's record does not carry over and is lost.
  4. Members must manage their own sign-in methods and may not transfer or lend their account to others. Nicknames and ranking nicknames must not impersonate the Operator or the dealer or infringe others' rights.

Article 5 (Identity verification at sign-up in Korea)

  1. A user identified as being in Korea by any of connection region, sign-up country, store country or earlier verification records must complete phone identity verification once, right after sign-up and before the first match. The country a user picks is not used for this decision.
  2. To pass verification a user must be at least 19 by Korean year-age (a person counts as 19 from January 1 of the year they turn 19, per the Youth Protection Act). Users under 19 cannot use ranked, matches with other users, or payments.
  3. Before verification a user can only browse, read the rules and play the tutorial (a practice match against bots). Ranked, creating and joining rooms, matches with two or more people, and payments open after verification.
  4. One person may use only one account, and verification data already linked to another account cannot be used. Verification is valid for one year and must be repeated after that.
  5. From the verification result the Operator keeps only the birth year, the time of verification and an encrypted link value used to confirm identity, and does not keep the name, date of birth or phone number; see the Privacy Policy. Age checks for users outside Korea follow Article 10 (Payments by minors).

Article 6 (Ranked and rank points)

  1. Ranked matches are opened by the Service gathering users at random. Users cannot choose their opponents or the game. Rooms made with friends (custom rooms) are not part of ranked and no rank points change hands in them.
  2. When a ranked match starts, rank points at the level the user chose (Standard, Double or Triple) are committed, and when it ends the user receives a share in proportion to the final scores of that game. If the user has fewer points than the level, only what they have is committed and the share shrinks in the same proportion. A Standard match can be played even at 0 points.
  3. Higher levels open once conditions such as the number of ranked matches and account age are met. To stop one person from feeding points to the same opponent, points moving between the same two users are capped. The season tier is decided by the rank points earned in the season, is fixed when the season ends and kept in the Hall of Fame, and a new season starts a few steps below the previous season's points.
  4. Rank points, season tiers, rank tickets and levels cannot be bought with money or anything else. They cannot be exchanged for cash, goods or other items, cannot be given, transferred or traded to other users, and cannot be bought or sold outside the Service. Arranging or attempting this is grounds for restriction under Article 14. Neither a subscription nor a rank day pass gives rank points, season tiers or rank tickets.

Article 7 (Rank tickets and season standings)

  1. Rank tickets are earned only by daily check-in. Currently it is 1 ticket a day, 3 bonus tickets for 7 days in a row, and up to 20 can be kept. They are not earned from match results and are not sold. If a match is stopped, the ticket used is returned.
  2. The number of ranked matches per day is limited by tier (Article 8, including the rank day pass), and tickets are used after the daily limit is used up. The limit resets at midnight Korea time.
  3. Public standings show only the ranking nickname (an alias if none is set), and users can turn off showing their name and score. An account under review for cheating may be held out of the standings until the review ends.

Article 8 (Subscriptions)

  1. Subscriptions come in three tiers, Plus, Pro and Max, and widen what a user can do. Users without a subscription can still play all 16 games and join rooms others made. Only members can subscribe, and users in Korea can pay after completing verification under Article 5.
  2. Prices are Plus 1,900 KRW a month or 19,000 KRW a year, Pro 3,900 KRW a month or 39,000 KRW a year, and Max 9,900 KRW a month or 99,000 KRW a year. App prices are those shown in the store and may include store fees. If prices change, the subscription screen shows them first.
  3. The only subscription benefits are: (1) ranked matches per day: Free 5, Plus 10, Pro 20, Max 100; (2) rooms made with friends (custom rooms): only subscribers can create them, and the matches a host can start per day are Plus 5, Pro 20, Max unlimited; (3) match replays: Pro and Max. The Operator may change these numbers, and the subscription screen shows changes first.
  4. The rank day pass is sold separately from subscriptions. For 24 hours after payment it allows up to 20 ranked matches a day (if a subscription tier's limit is higher, that limit applies). It is a fee for using the Service for a set time, not a payment per match, and it gives no rank tickets or rank points. The web price is 990 KRW (in the app, the amount shown in the store) and the payment conditions are the same as for subscriptions (Articles 5 and 10). Passes bought back to back are joined end to end, each starting when the previous one ends, and they do not renew automatically.
  5. While the Operator has paused sales of subscriptions or the rank day pass, a transaction whose payment was already completed still receives the subscription or pass.
  6. In the app you pay with an Apple or Google auto-renewing subscription, which renews at the same price when the period ends unless you cancel in that store's subscription settings; you can keep using the Service until the period you paid for ends. On the web you buy a 30-day or 365-day term pass through the payment provider (CP integrated payments); it does not renew automatically, and buying the same tier again before it expires adds the new term after the remaining time. The subscription screen reminds you from 7 days before expiry.
  7. When a subscription ends or is refunded or cancelled, the tier returns to Free right away. Matches already started and rooms already created continue until that match ends. While a store gives a grace period for a failed payment, the tier may be kept.

Article 9 (Withdrawal and refunds)

  1. A subscription is digital content that can be used as soon as payment is confirmed. Withdrawal follows the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, and the Operator shows the withdrawal terms on the subscription screen before payment.
  2. If it is within 7 days of payment and you have not used a subscription benefit, you can get the full amount back. Using a benefit means that after payment you entered a ranked match beyond the free daily limit or started a match in a custom room.
  3. In other cases you can get back the amount paid minus the period already used, in proportion to the remaining period (fractions of a won are dropped).
  4. Withdrawal and refunds for web payments are requested from the Operator (customer support) and handled through the payment provider's process; refunds for in-app subscriptions follow each store's (Apple, Google) refund policy and procedure. Once a refund starts, the subscription benefit is removed right away, and for a web term pass the days that the refunded order added are taken back.
  5. A rank day pass is also digital content that can be used as soon as payment is confirmed, so the Operator first shows on the payment screen that "use starts immediately on purchase, so withdrawal may be limited". If it is within 7 days of payment and you have not entered a ranked match beyond the daily limit of your subscription tier (the free limit if you have none) after paying, you can get the full amount back; if you have entered such a match, it is not refundable. Once refunded, that pass is withdrawn right away, and refunds for in-app payments follow each store's procedure.
  6. Rank points and rank tickets are not bought with money, so they are not refundable.

Article 10 (Payments by minors)

  1. Paid purchases (subscriptions and the like) are for adults only. If a user is found to be a minor or has not completed the adult check, payment stays closed (free games remain available).
  2. If a minor still pays without the consent of a legal representative, the minor or the legal representative may cancel that payment. Cancellation may be limited if the minor used deceit to make the Operator believe they were an adult or had consent, or if the payment was within property the legal representative allowed the minor to dispose of (such as pocket money) (Civil Act Articles 5, 6 and 17). Cancelling an in-app payment also follows each store's procedure.

Article 11 (What match results do not give)

  1. What you receive from match results is only rank points, season tiers, titles, badges and Hall of Fame records. Match results do not give cash, goods, gift certificates, transport, lodging, meals, subscription benefits or rank tickets.
  2. The Operator may propose interviews or offline matches to top-ranked users. A proposal is not payment for ranking and gives nothing of monetary value, such as appearance fees, prizes, goods, transport, lodging or meals. At offline events too, entry fees are not turned into prizes.

Article 12 (Duties of users)

  1. Users must not use automation programs, collude or feed points across several accounts or devices, exploit vulnerabilities, or try to obtain other users' private information, and must not affect a match result by exchanging private information during a match through means outside the Service or through the public chat.

Article 13 (Chat)

  1. Match chat is available only among that match's players, and the lobby chat only to members.
  2. Users must not post abuse, discrimination, harassment, illegal content, advertising, others' personal information or disallowed external links in chat or in-game offers. The Operator may hide or delete violating messages and block the author from chatting for a period.
  3. Users can report messages and block other users.
  4. Lobby chat is kept for 30 days after posting and match chat for 30 days after the match ends, then deleted. Copies of reported messages may be kept as long as needed to handle the report.

Article 14 (Restrictions)

  1. The Operator may review accounts that break Articles 12 or 13 or are suspected of cheating and restrict use in steps: restriction (barred from ranked), suspension (no sign-in or use for a set period) and permanent suspension.
  2. A suspended or permanently suspended account cannot sign in, open connections end, and during that time no check-in rank tickets can be received. Repeatedly leaving matches midway restricts joining new matches for a period; resigning is not counted as leaving.
  3. The Operator gives the reason for a restriction where possible, and users can object through customer support. Rank points and results obtained by cheating can be corrected or taken back.

Article 15 (Match results and elimination or leaving)

  1. The server decides judgments and results of games under published rules. If an error or cheating is confirmed, the Operator may correct that match's result and rank points.
  2. In a game played with chips, when a player's in-match chips reach 0 the player is eliminated from that game, ranks last in that match and receives no share. The earlier a player is eliminated, the lower the rank; players eliminated in the same round tie.
  3. A player who leaves or resigns midway also receives no share. The shares of eliminated, departed or resigned players are not given to others and disappear.

Article 16 (Provision and suspension of the Service)

  1. Part of the Service (subscriptions and rank day passes) is paid. The Operator may pause or change part or all of the Service for maintenance, outages or operational needs.
  2. If the Operator decides to end the Service, it will announce it on the Service 30 days in advance and refund unused subscription time and rank day passes under the relevant laws.

Article 17 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Operator is not liable for damage caused by natural disasters, users' devices or networks, or causes attributable to users.
  2. Unless it acts intentionally or negligently, the Operator is not liable for damage arising from match results between users. However, it is liable under applicable law for damage related to paid services caused by reasons attributable to it.

Article 18 (Personal information)

  1. The Operator handles only the minimum information the Service needs; for details, including information used for identity verification and payments for subscriptions and rank day passes, follow the Privacy Policy.
